This Privacy Policy explains how MakerCart (“Store”, “we”, “us”) collects and uses personal information when you browse, sign in, place orders, upload a BOQ, or use Prompt2Cart.
1. Who we are

2. Information we collect
- Account (Google Sign-In): email, name, and profile photo that Google shares after you consent; a stable Google account id used to recognise you.
- Cart & orders: items, quantities, delivery addresses you save, and order-related emails.
- BOQ / Prompt2Cart: files and project prompts you submit so our team or tooling can respond.
- Technical: basic server logs (IP, user agent, timestamps) needed to operate and secure the service.
3. How we use it
- Operate the Store, cart, login session, and customer support.
- Fulfil or quote orders and respond to BOQ / Prompt2Cart requests.
- Improve reliability and prevent abuse.
- Meet legal or tax obligations where required.
We do not sell your personal information.
4. Sharing
- Google: authentication only; we receive the profile fields you authorise.
- Payment / logistics providers: only what is needed to take payment or ship (when those features are enabled).
- Hosting & infrastructure: processors that host the Store under our instructions.
- Law: when required by applicable law or to protect rights and safety.
5. Retention
Account and order data is kept while your account is active and as needed for legal/accounting records. You may request deletion of account profile data subject to lawful retention needs.
6. Your choices
- Sign out anytime from the Store.

- Revoke Google access in your Google Account security settings.
7. Security
We use HTTPS in production, session cookies for signed-in state, and access controls on our systems. No method of transmission is 100% secure.
8. Children
The Store is aimed at schools, labs, and makers acting with appropriate authority. We do not knowingly create accounts for children under 13 without institutional oversight.
9. Changes
We may update this policy; the “Last updated” date will change. Continued use after updates means you accept the revised policy.
